So we made the decision to cancel/postpone the trip slated for November 11-18, 2006 to St. John. Yes, that's me waving GOOD BYE to the beautiful island of STJ for '06. But its all for a good cause. There is just so much going on & the prospect of being on a remote island far from my doctors is just not appealing. I am seeing a doctor (or two) at least once a week at this point and really in the grand scheme its not worth any risk. St. John will be there for me when I need it. Right now I need to be here. Close to Dr. G & Dr. J-C.
Car rental - Canceled, no penalty --- Thank you Carment at Conrad Sutton!
House rental - Postponed, no penalty though they could have kept our $1500 deposit. They will hold the deposit until we re-book when we know when we want to re-book --- Thank you Lori of Destination St. John!
Airfare - Canceled with miles redeposited, $50 per ticket. Better than kissing 120,000 worth of skymiles good bye. (We now have 230,000 skymiles --- trip to India anyone). Thank you a little bit Delta.
Our plan for now is wait and see how things turn out with the baby boy. Perhaps we'll make a trip in the late Spring early summer or maybe we'll just really save ourselves and go nuts and go for Thanksgiving or something next in 2007. There is no question that we will return, the only question is when.
