Medivac

So yesterday, while working from home, around 5 or so, I hear lots and lots of fire trucks. I think nothing of it. Until my hubby comes home and says "What's going on outside". Well the first trucks had come and stopped about 1/2 a mile from our house. They had turned off their sirens. So 4-5 fire trucks, several ambulances, lots of police vehicles are outside.

I walk up our drive and see that our road has been totally blocked off in either direction. Then I see the firemen walking around our furthest neighbors house. So I am thinking "its gonna blow!" Of course, they would have evacuated us right?

Then I hear what I thought was a traffic/news chopper getting CLOSER and CLOSER. Until, that's right, it lands right on the street in front of our house. Disheartening but very cool. It was a medical evacuation helicopter. Apparently there was an accident on a cross street and this was the closest flat spot to be had. Still, there are powerlines quite tight to the road. Apparently, the pilot circled 4 or 5 times before he actually touched down.
