Spring...Please BRING IT!

Though I know it is officially Spring, someone needs to tell the weather that. Today was day 5-6 of highs in the 40s-50s. Where are the 60s? Where are the 70s? I need warm, toe baring, flip-flop wearing, short sleeve weather. Is that too much to ask? I was able to tolerate it for days ... because there was sun. Today, no sun. Rain, cold, dreary. I am DONE. DONE I say. Make it stop. Please.

In other programming...

Ella's softball/t-ball season is finally getting underway. Sort of. The first practice, which she was looking forward to so much that the first thing she said this morning was "PRACTICE TONIGHT, MAMA!", was unfortunately cancelled for tonight. Apparently a gaggle of 6 - 8 year olds on a cold, rainy afternoon is not such a good idea. Ella is an interesting child. She is unique. Very smart. Very inquisitive. Very opinionated. Very VERY hard headed. A little bit lazy. The older she gets the more apparent it becomes that she has some natural athletic talent. PE is the only class where she consistently gets Outstandings for aptitude. On the effort scale she's more in the range of Satisfactory. I wonder where she gets this. Don't answer that! So I am very curious to see how her first team sport experience goes. If nothing else she's off the chart right now for enthusiasm. With the way the stock market is going, mama might become a tyrannical parent because an athletic scholarship maybe her only option for college!
