Ella

It has been too long since I have had an Ella-centric post. All these monthly posts for Max and NOTHING for Ella. He's little and just learning stuff and she's older, mature and already knows more than I do so there isn't as much to report about her!

She remains awesome. She was most bummed this week that they cancelled school on Monday due to snow. IT WAS DR. SEUSS' BIRTHDAY for goodness sake and she needed to "wear pjs and bring a stuffed animal and a baby blanket and a favorite book!" Majorly bummed. To make up for it we've read Dr. Seuss books each night this week. Green Eggs and Ham and the Grinch never get old!

We went this past weekend to get her a new passport. Her first passport will expire this November. Her brother is in need of his first ever passport, so in the interest of getting them both on the same schedule I went ahead and bit the bullet and laid out the $120 bucks for passports and $80 to get their pictures taken and to get the USPS to process the paperwork. I was impressed as the check was cashed by the State Department YESTERDAY. We did this all on Saturday.

Anyway...I digress...as usual. So her first passport was obtained in November of 2004 in anticipation of our trip to London. I can't believe she was barely older than Max is now when we took that trip. 2 and 3/4 years to be exact. I remember this because I stressed about it to NO END. Of course, she was a champ. Slept the entire flight over and was as pleasant as punch on the way back. She loved and remembers London well. She's my little world traveler. She loves it, she adjusts well whenever we go anywhere and I think, is a much better person for her experiences. We've been to Florida a couple of times, San Francisco, St. John (3 times with her - at 3, 5, and 6), London & Cambridge, St. Martin, Nags Head, tons of local road trips, several weeks at Virginia Beach.

I just can't believe she's already in need of a passport renewal!! 5 years flies by. We are rapidly approaching her 7th birthday. It just doesn't seem possible!
