Crab Fest 2008 - the 6th Annual - has come and gone. Crabs, beer, paper towels, bug spray, good friends and a beautiful evening make for a good time for all. We ended up with a crowd of about 26 this year and it was probably one of the smoothest of all. No rain and more importantly no lightning. My new schedule worked out perfectly and I had Friday off to prep and set up (i.e. play drill sargeant to the hubby and nephew). And I was a genius on Saturday by planning to have my babysitter come to help with the kids. She was a lifesaver and having her there allowed me to truly relax and enjoy the party for the first time ... probably ever ;)
I love this party. It reminds me how lucky I am to share my life with so many great friends. It evolves each year and brings together my best friends from so many different aspects of my life - college, work, friends of friends that I now wholeheartedly claim as my own, Hung's friends from middle and high school who I now know and love so much.
When my mom ends up on the deck at midnight with some of the youngins and its perfectly comfortable you know it was a good party.

Thank you so much for a fun, fun, fun evening. Rob and I had a GREAT time, and it was wonderful to finally meet your mom. I can't wait until next year. I'm working on the good weather already. ;)
