All dogs do go to heaven after all. We decided (upon finding out the Pet Resort and the Vet were all booked up for the 4th of July weekend) to take Butter with us to Gram's this weekend. We knew she would LOVE it once she was there. She is a water dog, there is water, the math is simple. However, we fretted about the ride there. My dog, sweet as she may be, is neurotic. VERY. Neurotic.
She cried, whined, fretted and barked almost the entire way to my mom's. That's 2 hours in the car on the morning of the 4th. Fun times. With Ella yelling, "BUTTER! STOP!" and Max going "Ahhh AHHHH!" and waving his finger at her, before breaking into chuckles. At least he was entertained by it instead of scared to death!
The weekend itself was wonderful. VERY relaxing. Its amazing what a difference just 1 extra day makes.
The good news is that we wore the dog out so well with all the swimming and retrieving and kitty stalking that she was MUCH calmer coming home. Almost like a normal dog ;)
