Ok this post is mostly just to move Dale Jr/Joe 6-pack below the fold. I am tried of seeing that belly when I open my own blog! Two weekends ago now - whew times flies - we hit the grand opening of the new Workhouse Art Center in Lorton (5 minutes from our house). Housed in what used to be a prison.
We had no idea there was going to be a kids art class for the public. We saw a line and decided to get in it. The artist, Alex Beard, did a fabulous job with the kids. This was Ella in phase one where they were told to do the hand tracing thing and then they could make it any animal they wanted to except the infamous turkey! She decided to go with giraffe. I am still trying to figure out why the giraffe's head ended up bird-like. She is totally outside of the box.

I love the giraffe! By the way, we walked right by the Lorton prison on the walk this past weekend!
