We survived our first weekend in what seems like the little guy's entire life without gram! She stayed put in her little town and took a much deserved break. Boy, did we miss her! We were pretty busy - baby shower for our friends on Saturday and a 3rd birthday party for another on Sunday.
Last night, our sitter came and we took the baby and went to the bookstore and dinner -- whoo hoo. Last semi-date night for a while as she is leaving for Germany for a month on Saturday. We really need to find a back-up sitter!
The boy will join his sister a week from today at Mrs. J's daycare. Can't wait for that. ME - can't wait. Maybe its not PC, but I am pretty much ready to go back to work. I love him, I have enjoyed being home (mostly) for the last almost 8 weeks, but I am a working mom. I need to get out and have the routine and the adult interaction. And it helps that I know that he will be in GREAT hands!
